Mexican Colonial Silver 8 Reales Coin Watch
Description
Unique Spanish Colonial 8 reales solid silver 900 grade coins converted to a pocket watch, each side has an 8 reales silver coin that has been hollowed out on one side and attached to a centre frame where the watch is located, the front side has a glass dome inset to see the watch, the coin on one side is dated 1808, the last year of the reign of Kind Carolus IIII – 4th IV – of Spain, the front coin has various later hieroglyphics markings at the base most probably related to the maker of the watch, watch is marked inside Swiss 17 jewels. 1.5 inch diameter
Condition: Missing glass, dial has hairline cracks, missing hand.All sales are final.
