George Baxter (English, 1804-1867) Print in Oils Gems of the Great Exhibition (Exterior) depicting the exterior of the Crystal Palace during the Great Exhibition of 1851 in London. George Baxter was an exhibitor at the Great Exhibition, showcasing his pioneering oil-color printing process. The Gems of the Great Exhibition series, which includes this print, focused on sculptures and the exterior of the Crystal Palace. Frame measures 12.5 x 19 inches W.
