Stanislav Libensky Zelezny Brod Grey Composition
Description
Stanislav Libensky (1921 – 2002) and Jarosalva Brychtova (1924 – 2020), Czech Republic, large art glass cast glass panel produced by Zelezny Brod titled Grey Composition, originally designed in 1964, signed, set in metal frame and can be used as a room divider or standalone art piece near a window, also has custom built light box that can be set at the back to artificially light up the panel. Husband and wife team of Libensky and Brychtova were the recipients of the 1958 Grand Prize at Expo ’58 in Brussels, Belgium, and their works are held in museums and private collections around the world. This work was purchased directly from the artists in 2001 in the Czech Republic, and this version of the grey composition was the last commissioned by the artist before Stanislav Libensky died in 2002. Measuring 77 inches H x 35 W x 24 deep. Plaque measures 50 x 35 inches.
