Manly Macdonald Portrait Painting Duncan Macdonald

Oil on board painting by Manly Edward Macdonald (Canadian, 1889-1971) of his son Duncan Macdonald. Duncan was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, who unfortunately died in combat during World War 11. Manly Macdonald often painted his son, from a young age, until shortly before his untimely death. Painting is signed lower right and titled on the back. Board measures 16 inches H x 12, frame measures 19.5 x 16 inches.
