Japanese Edo period pair of Imari porcelain octagonal plates, hand painted underglazed in cobalt and burnt orange with applied gilt decoration, unique edge design, decorated on reverse also, circa first half 19th century. Condition statement – chip to one edge point. 16 inches diameter.
