Emile Galle Bleeding Hearts Poetry Vase
Emile Galle (1846 – 1904) France, extremely rare hand crafted enameled cameo large art glass vase of a bulbous form with quatrefoil form at the top, showing a floral design resembling bleeding hearts or in French coeur de Jeannette, of multiple layers of colored uranium glass enameling over an acid etched body, marked on the side J’avais Cent Raisons de Toujours Aimer, which translated to – I had one hundred reasons to love you, signed Galle and also marked Nancy Depose on base, circa late 19th century. 9 inches H.
