Antique Quebec ladder back armchair of maple or birch, the arms with curved ends, uniquely as a result of the dampness on the floors of old Quebec farmhouses the ends of the four legs have been replaced sometime during the lifetime of the chair, set with woven cord seat. Provenance : From the estate of the late Montreal artist Anne Kahane (Langstadt) (1924 – 2023) 21 inches W x 21 deep x 41.5 H, 14 inch seat height.
